I’m happy with this productI was running out of FA case lube decided to try some homemade lube. Mixed tis with 99% alcohol at a 10:1 ratio (alcohol : lanolin) and this makes the best case lube you can find and at a terrific price. there is enough in this 4oz bottle and a 1ltr bottle of alcohol to lube several thousand pieces of brass.I purchased this oil to soften up my son’s new baseball glove. I did two applications over a weeks time and the product worked great! I bought two bottles and I will definitely use this product again.I gave this product 4 stars because it is a little pricey for only 4 oz. after comparing it on other sites. Other than that the product is wonderful, exactly the way I remember it when I purchased it in 2008 as a natural treatment for cracked nipples. This time around I will be using it for skin and hair care products I plan to make for my household. Please note that it has a thick consistency which is what you want from this product. You can mix it with another oil to make it more pliable for use on your skin unless you are treating cracked dry skin on your elbows or feet. In those cases I’d probably use it as is but if you plan to spread it over your body or use it in your hair (other than slicking your hair down) you definitely want to mix it with something. The scent is on par with how I remember it - nothing too strong. I don’t know what to compare it to other than lanolin. I’d recommend this product for any one needing heavy moisturizing.This product works extremely well on curly hair. It helps to soften and moisturize as well as prevent dryness and breakage.Great productNot using for personal use.Newby. I bought this for my dogs rough cracked pads. And it works so well. I tried it on my elbows and cuticles and I'm just in love. Everything I touch now feels soft. My hubby gets really dry skin on his back and we have tried everything and this stuff is all that works. Smells like manure at first but that goes away once fully absorbed. Will definitely be a staple in our house.
