I purchased this item to give as a gift, and now I'm wavering on giving it away it's so pretty. I want to keep it! Well made and as pictured, I'm going to be putting it in a shadow box, although there's a hanging hook on the back of the cross for those who just want to take it out and enjoy. Definitely a great buy, a nice size and one I'd recommend to others.NOTE: In the photos the cross appears darker than on the Amazon site. Lighting will play a big role in how it appears to you. It does have a brown tone more than black, with several layers to the detailing (see side view). The blue on the cross I received is more turquoise than green.
