Absolutely love this fireplace! Great height and width. Easy to control. Sturdy. Fairly light enough to move around, but heavy enough it's a nice solid fireplace. Took my husband and teenage son about an hour to put it together. Then it took them about another hour to put it together correctly, reading the instructions this time. All holes, etc aligned perfectly. (the ones that didn't were because they did something wrong, easy to correct) It gives of a gothic victorian vibe to me, which I absolutely love. Guess it depends on how you decorate the room around it though.Had to have a piece replaced due to damaged shipping. Amazon was difficult to get help through via chat, constantly on hold or being transferred. I decided to reach out to Ameriwood via their website yesterday for help. Amazing customer service through them! They are shipping the needed piece free of charge. Register your purchase on their website and if you have ANY problems they are very fast to respond and super helpful! Wish I knew this before I ordered, it took me over 2 weeks to get the guts to order this via Amazon, because I was scared of shipping damages since the price is so high for this piece. I had shipping damages but Ameriwood helped instead of me having to repack and return the entire order.Very happy with my purchase. My downstairs, where this fireplace is, is a fairly open floorplan much larger than 400sqft and this heats it up good within an hour.Only drawback for me is it's mdf composite wood. I hate mdf with a friggen passion but, everything is made with that now. I don't regret buying it, just wish it was real wood. It's fair though since I don't want to pay real wood prices.(Btw I've seen some reviews complaining how the decorative 'tile' (or some called it marble) for the front has gaps, etc when putting it together. It's suppose to. It's supposed to look almost tiled with grouting. I found absolutely nothing wrong with how this looks or is put together. It's all about reading and understand what you've read before buying.) This unit does NOT look cheap, fake, cheesy or anything. Very nice fireplace.This piece is absolutely beautiful! However if you plan to use the Heating option be ready for a High Energy bill, it’s Outrageous in that category. Putting it together wasn’t to awful but the company should had made directions easier to follow (had to actually flip some of the pieces so the wooden pegs would fit together) The insert itsself looks like real flames ? and that’s what I was looking for, Highly recommended for the looks but would avoid if your looking to use the heat settings on it at all, you’ll end up paying almost as much as you did for the fireplace itsself every month.We were impressed by the quality and how well everything fits together. You have to put it together but it well worth the effort. All of the pieces are labeled and fit well. It's very attractive and heats well. It has real life like flames that you can control. We're glad we got it.This fireplace heater is exactly what I was looking for. The assembly took a little while, but was not difficult with 2 people. It looks fabulous! The remote control is easy to use. I highly recommend this item!Best gift everNeeds time to build up but at the end it’s very cool!Love it in my DenJust follow the directions. The directions were very well put together. It's tedious, but simple.
