Great book. Saved me at least $250,000 (not kidding) by talking me out of buying a second home as the true real calculated costs of ownership are shown, and you can compare that to any expected rents. You will find out that second home ownership is really a gamble if you think you are going to make any money. The book is well written. If you go the second home route do it for the fun and experience, not necessarily to get rich or make bundles of cash. The rents may pick up part of the tab, but not all is the feeling I got when I started doing the estimating suggested by this book. I liked this book alot.
