I am a leg amputee currently working to design and build a much more accessible home. Many times amputees are without their prostheses for one reason or another and being in a wheelchair or using a walker/knee scooter in the house can be really challenging and frustrating! This book gives GREAT advice and ideas on efficient, accessible design that will make living in a home SO much more enjoyable. To just be able to get around a home like I used to...without all the barriers....would be amazing. This book helps you to understand how to think in terms of increased accessibility and how to integrate that into a home design/remodel. The pictures are very nice and give lots of inspiration.I am going to share this book with my daughter who is an Occupational Therapy student in college. It would be a helpful read for anyone working with the physically challenged. The book is a nice size and has very high quality pages/photos.Highly recommended!
